Religious Science International, the parent organization, was founded as a church in the late 1920’s as a part of the growing New Thought movement. It has roughly 1,000 churches through-out North America and with affiliations of New Thought Churches is a member of several thousand churches. It is a democratic organization with a board of directors and a yearly congress. All member churches have voting power and the freedom to remove themselves from the organization to become independent or to join different branches of the greater body. Each member church is a registered society and independently fiscally responsible, paying only nominal dues to the parent organization for ongoing administration costs. It is the underlying philosophy of Religious Science that a change of thought will create a new experience. Of course as a religious community we adhere to a greater Spiritual mandate; our vision statement reads: “Awakening Humanity to its Spiritual Magnificence”
